Discounts are for applicable on-hand/in-stock items ONLY, and they'll be priced as marked.
FYI, putting an item in your cart won't magically "reserve" anything - you have to actually complete the transaction of buying it. Please be aware that each product displays "units in stock", and disabling the discount on an item is a manual process once the last one is gone.
If someone happens to beat you to buying the last of [whatever] before we can remove its discount, we'll simply issue you a refund for it.
If you want to toss an out-of-stock or non-sale item into your cart, that's totally fine, but please expect to pay full price for it, and wait for it to arrive from whoever I need to order it from.
